Some of you may be aware of the Hollywood writers strike that started today. Well it turns out that this will have a very bad impact on The Big Bang Theory, because during the strike shows will have to air repeats, and BBT only has 8 episodes made at this point.

What will probably happen after next week’s airing is one of two things, and neither are very pleasant. Either the show will go into reruns, which will absolutely kill its ratings, because it will be going up against other shows that will still be new, and remember they only have 8 episodes so the reruns could not last for long. The other thing would be for the network to put the show on hiatus, which means take it off the air. If it does that it probably will either never return, or it will return and lose some of its audience, and then be a ratings failure. Either scenario is not very good.
